Chief Electromechanical Marine Engineer

Job Description:Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance, repair, and management of all electrical systems onboard. Design, install, maintain electrical and equipment on, cruise ships. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.Performing maintenance on marine vehicles and equipment.Oversee the installation and testing of electrical equipment, including generators, propulsion systems, and navigation systems.Supervising all aspects of the design process for structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.Overseeing the construction of marine vessels and equipment to ensure their quality and integrity.Develop and maintain documentation related to electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance logs.Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations and industry standards.Preparing technical reports such as research, systems diagnostics, and design analysis documentation.Investigating and diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective repairs.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Marine engineering or similar. Minimum of experience 15 years.Last of 5 years necessary experience of Nile Cruises or Boats or more in the same position. Master Electrician qualification is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC and DC power, lighting, navigation, and communication systems.Sound knowledge of maritime software such as HMI and PLC control systems.Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes.Experience with a variety of engineering processes including mechanical, electrical.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and industry standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, often under tight deadlines.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
