Purpose of the JobThe Church Affairs Specialist plays a crucial role within Coptic Orphans. The incumbent will serve as the link and focal point of contact between the organization and Coptic Priests. The Church Affairs Specialist executes and fosters relationships with the priests to support program-related activities.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Communication and CollaborationCollaborate with the Advisor on maintaining priests' relationships through meetings and updates.Participate in quarterly field visits and home visits to ensure program alignment.Prepare reports and updates, including newsletters, feedback forms, and other communication materials for clergy and stakeholders. Address operational challenges with priests related to program implementationMaintain Administrative & Operational SupportAttend meetings alongside senior team members and document key discussions, action items, and follow-ups. Provide logistical and coordination support for field visits, priests' engagement activities, and departmental initiatives. Maintain and update accurate records of clergy interactions and departmental activities.Assist in preparing newsletters, reports, and other publications for clergyRequired Education, Experience, Knowledge, And SkillsBachelor's degree in Theology, Social Sciences, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience, at least 2 years in Church-based service, with a focus on consultation, development, or program implementation. Proficient in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with clergy interaction and program-related processes. Basic understanding of administrative and reporting systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships effectively. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.Travel And Working RequirementsWork is typically performed in an office environment, involving activities such as walking, sitting, typing, using public transportation, and occasionally lifting boxes or luggage.
