Corporate Lawyer

ResponsabilityCompliance & RegulatoryDevelop, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with local and international regulations.Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, licensing obligations, and reporting standards.Conduct compliance risk assessments and internal audits.Act as the primary point of contact with regulators, auditors, and external authorities.Legal & AdvisoryProvide legal advice and guidance to management and business units on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents (e.g., vendor, partnership, customer, and employment contracts).Manage corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, company registrations, and statutory filings.Oversee litigation, disputes, and claims in coordination with external legal counsel.Ensure proper management of intellectual property, data protection, and confidentiality matters.Risk Management & EthicsIdentify legal and compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.Ensure implementation of ethical standards, codes of conduct, and whistleblowing mechanisms.Support investigations related to compliance breaches or legal issues.Stakeholder & Internal SupportCollaborate closely with HR, Finance, Operations, Product, and Commercial teams to ensure compliance across all functions.Conduct compliance and legal awareness training for employees.Support new products, services, and business initiatives by ensuring legal and regulatory readiness.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or professional certifications are a plus.Minimum 2–3 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.Strong knowledge of corporate law, labor law, regulatory compliance, and contract law.Experience in regulated industries (e.g., fintech, banking, telecom, FMCG) is an advantage.Proven experience dealing with regulators and external legal counsel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail and confidentialityAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong business acumen with a risk-based mindsetTechnical Skills RequiredContract drafting & negotiationGovernment relationsLegal researchRisk assessmentTools / Systems ProficiencyCRMATS (Applicant Tracking System)Google AnalyticsAdvanced ExcelPower BITableauOdooStrong reporting skills (other)Top 3 KPIs for Success Contract Turnaround – Speed and efficiency of contract drafting, review, and execution Compliance – Adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies Legal Risk – Effective identification, mitigation, and management of legal risk exposure
