Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive L2 DBA Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise database environments.This role requires strong operational expertise to ensure database availability, performance, integrity, security, and compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).ResponsibilitiesOperations ResponsibilityProvide day-to-day operational support for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and MongoDB environments.Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting activities.Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures according to established policies.Ensure database security, compliance, and access control management.Manage database user accounts, privileges, roles, and auditing requirements.Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements.Develop and maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule to ensure service continuity and timely incident response outside business hours.Strong Linux/Unix administration knowledge.Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing systems in enterprise environments.Oracle Database AdministrationAdminister Oracle Database environments including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager environments.Manage Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.Support Oracle Exadata systems and related database services.Administer Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments, including:Installation and configurationCloning and refresh activitiesPatching and upgradesPerformance monitoring and tuningTroubleshooting and operational supportMicrosoft SQL Server AdministrationInstall, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.Manage SQL Server backup and recovery operations.Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance.Implement and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including:Failover Cluster Instances (FCI)Always On Availability GroupsLog Shipping and ReplicationTroubleshoot database, replication, and availability-related issues.MongoDB & NoSQL AdministrationAdminister MongoDB environments including deployment, configuration, monitoring, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.Support MongoDB replication and sharding architectures.Perform performance tuning and capacity planning activities.Maintain database security and operational best practices.Exposure to additional NoSQL platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, or Redis is considered an advantage.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.5–7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise database administration and support.Preferred CertificationsOracle Certified Professional (OCP) Microsoft SQL Server Administration Certification.MongoDB DBA Associate or Professional Certification.ITIL Foundation Certification.
