IT Strategy & RoadmapServe as the principal IT advisor to the Managing Director and the executive committee; deliver monthly IT performance updates and quarterly board-level technology reporting.Define the Group IT budget — Opex and Capex — and ensure disciplined execution and value tracking.Lead the digital transformation agenda — automation, integration, BI, and selective use of AI/ML where it drives operational value.Infrastructure & Service DeskOversee the Group's IT infrastructure — networks, servers (on-prem and cloud), end-user computing, telephony, and connectivity across HQ and operational sites .Run the Group IT Service Desk to defined SLAs — ticket response, resolution time, first-contact resolution, and user satisfaction.Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements for all critical systems are documented, tested, and credible.Cybersecurity & Data GovernanceOwn the Group's cybersecurity posture — endpoint protection, identity and access management, e-mail security, and incident response readiness.Implement and govern data governance standards — access controls, segregation of duties in HRIS and ERP, audit logging, and data retention.Ensure compliance with applicable Egyptian data protection regulations and contractual data obligations to clients and partners.Operational Site IT Provide IT support and integration for port operations — terminal operating systems, equipment telemetry (where applicable), and operational reporting .Ensure operational IT can sustain harsh-environment, multi-shift, multi-site demands without becoming the bottleneck for the business.Team Leadership & Vendor ManagementLead, coach, and develop the Group IT team — application support engineers, infrastructure engineers, service desk, and ERP/HRIS leads.Define the IT operating model across HQ and sites; balance central governance with site-level responsiveness.Manage the IT vendor portfolio — selection, contracting, performance review, and renewal — with clear segregation of duties between specification, selection, and approval.Governance, Risk & ReportingMaintain the Group IT Risk Register and ensure top risks (cyber, application availability, vendor concentration, key-person dependency) have documented mitigations and owners.Deliver monthly IT scorecard reporting — application availability, ticket SLAs, project delivery, cyber posture, and spend vs. budget.Partner with HR on HRIS roadmap, with Finance on ERP and reporting, and with Operations on site-level IT priorities. Minimum 12–15 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 4–5 years in a senior IT leadership role at group, multi-site, or multi-entity scope.Demonstrable hands-on background in application support is required — the successful candidate must have personally led application support teams and resolved business-critical application incidents end-to-end. This is non-negotiable.Experience operating IT across industrial/operational environments (ports, logistics, manufacturing, oil and gas, or heavy transport) is strongly preferred.Proven track record managing third-party vendors, complex SLAs, and multi-vendor environments.Deep working knowledge of application lifecycle management — incident, problem, change, and release management to ITIL standards.Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integration patterns (APIs, middleware), and data flows between core business systems.Solid grounding in infrastructure — networks, servers, cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP), endpoint management, and identity (Active Directory / Entra ID).Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001 awareness, OWASP for application security).Comfort with BI and analytics platforms — Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.Professional fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
