Job OverviewJob Title: Drafter Reports to: Design Operations ManagerDepartment: Design & Merchandising Division: Design Location: 6th of October Factory Entity: AFJ – Jewelry of Egypt Role SummaryIn this position, Drafter is responsible for transforming creative jewelleryconcepts and sketches into precise technical drawings ready for production.This role ensures the accuracy, feasibility, and manufacturability of eachdesign, maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and aligning withthe brand’s aesthetic identity.Main Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To) Technical Drawing & CAD Development Translate hand sketches and design concepts into accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings. Prepare detailed technical drawings, including measurements, stone settings, mechanisms, and materials. Ensure all drawings meet production and quality standards for luxury jewellery. Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with designers, model makers and production teams to ensure design intent is fully captured and executable. Communicate design specifications clearly to the prototyping and manufacturing teams. Support troubleshooting and modification of designs during the sampling process. Design File Management Maintain organized records of drawings, technical data, and design revisions. Ensure all CAD files are properly archived and version controlled. Quality & Accuracy Review and verify dimensions, proportions, and structural feasibility of all designs. Conduct final checks on technical drawings before production release. Research & Innovation Stay updated on new jewellery design techniques, tools, and materials. Suggest improvements in drafting processes and design efficiency.Key Requirements Work Experience: 2-4 years of experience as CAD Drafter in jewellery or luxury accessories. Proficiency in CAD software (Rhino, Matrix, Jewel CAD, or similar). Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and techniques. Attention to detail with excellent precision and consistency. Good communication and teamwork skills.Education & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
