Job Title: Structural Engineer – Modeler (Remote) Experience: 2–4 years Location: Egypt Job Type: Full-time Role Description: We are seeking a Structural Engineer – Modeler to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate structural BIM models and construction documentation for projects designed in accordance with U.S. standards. You will collaborate closely with structural engineers, support project delivery through high-quality modeling and detailing, and contribute to the development of efficient BIM workflows and standards.Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain accurate structural BIM models using Revit in accordance with project requirements and company standards.Produce detailed structural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and construction details.Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve clashes and design conflicts.Incorporate design revisions and maintain model accuracy throughout all project phases.Ensure structural models and drawings comply with U.S. drafting standards, project specifications, and internal quality procedures.Assist structural engineers in preparing engineering documentation and coordinating project deliverables.Perform model quality checks to ensure completeness, consistency, and constructability.Support the development and maintenance of Revit families, templates, and BIM standards.Participate in BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues.Maintain organized project documentation and ensure timely delivery of modeling and drafting packages.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a governmental (public) university.2-4 years of professional experience in structural BIM modeling and drafting.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is a must.Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, structural behavior, and construction practices.Familiarity with U.S. structural drawings, detailing standards, and design codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models using Navisworks or similar clash detection software is preferred.Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar is considered an advantage.Good command of English (written and spoken).Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team.Experience developing Revit families, templates, and BIM workflows is preferred.Experience mentoring junior modelers or drafters is a plus.FE Exam required; PE licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus. Experience mentoring junior engineers is preferred. Preferred: current or former member of university teaching staff.
