Job DescriptionTITLE: Education CoordinatorTEAM/PROGRAMME: Cairo Area/Operation LOCATION: Greater Cairo area, EgyptGRADE: 5Contract LengthTill 31 st Dec 2026Child SafeguardingLevel 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.Role PurposeThe Education Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the educational classes and activities with Community Learning Centers (CLC) and Partner association. This educational activity aims to promote and facilitate access to quality and safe educational opportunities for the children in greater Cairo. He/She will be responsible for leading a team of community facilitators and school leaders under the supervision of the education officer to implement educational interventions based on the beneficiaries’ educational needs. Besides, he/she will be conducting regular observation and monitoring visits to the educational classes and activities taking place in the targeted CLCs in Giza.Projects ScopeThe project “Sponsorship for refugee” is being implemented in Greater Cairo since 2019 with refugee and hosting community. The project is aiming to improve the quality of services provided to children in the impact area through working on four main areas which is education, child protection, health and livelihood. Previous experience in the education field is required. Proven knowledge and skills in education activities’ planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Proven successful experience in team management. Highly developed interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills. Good training and facilitation skills. Strong networking, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written). Good command of the English language (spoken and written) Very good at using the internet, MS Office, Email, and spreadsheets. Commitment to Save the Children values, and Child Safeguarding policy.Preferably Experience in working with UASC, youth, and adolescents. Experience in implementing similar educational interventions to the targeted group.
