BEC values collaboration, timely delivery, and long-term relationships with clients and partners.Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Electrical Technical Office Engineer at Building Edge Company. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical shop drawings in alignment with project specifications, standards, and client requirements. The Electrical Technical Office Engineer will develop and validate bills of quantities (BOQ) for electrical works, support quantity surveying activities, and assist in cost estimation and variation claims. Daily tasks include liaising with design teams, civil and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and ensuring constructability and compliance with relevant codes. The role also entails preparing technical documentation, supporting project planning and scheduling from an electrical perspective, and collaborating with site teams to address technical challenges and ensure smooth project execution.QualificationsStrong proficiency in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant electrical codes, standards, and design criteria.Practical experience with electrical shop drawings, including preparation, coordination, and review to ensure accuracy and compliance.Solid knowledge of BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying for electrical works, including cost estimation, measurement, and variation analysis.Familiarity with Civil Engineering concepts sufficient to coordinate electrical installations with structural and architectural elements.Proficiency in engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and comfort working with MS Office tools for reports and spreadsheets.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience in building or infrastructure construction projects, preferably with international or large-scale projects, is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional project environment.Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to detail and documentation quality.
