The Mechanical Technical Office Engineer will prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings and related technical documentation in alignment with project specifications and standards. The role includes assisting in the preparation and verification of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for mechanical works, supporting cost estimates, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, and quantity surveying) to resolve technical issues. The engineer will collaborate with project managers, site teams, and consultants to clarify design requirements, address RFIs, and ensure constructability of mechanical systems. Additional responsibilities include participating in value engineering proposals, maintaining accurate project records, and supporting compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.QualificationsStrong proficiency in preparing and reviewing mechanical shop drawings, with attention to detail and coordination across disciplines.Experience in developing and checking mechanical BOQs, including quantities take-off, cost support, and documentation control.Ability to collaborate effectively with Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering teams to ensure integrated and constructible designs.Familiarity with Quantity Surveying principles related to mechanical works, including variations, claims support, and cost tracking.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).Solid understanding of mechanical systems in building and infrastructure projects (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related systems).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in remote, cross-functional teams.Experience with international construction standards and codes; prior exposure to projects in the KSA is an advantage.Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quality and adherence to deadlines.
