Roles & AccountabilitiesCoordinate closely with his counterpart in the Joint Venture company to ensure all health, safety and environmental aspects are considered in accordance with the partners’ directions and International Standards, as applicable.Implement and monitor company HSE management systems across cairo office and field operations to ensure safe working environments and compliance with safety standards.Plan, coordinate, and supervise safety programs, daily work schedules, and emergency response drills to maintain readiness and operational safety.Develop and communicate safety and fire prevention procedures to all personnel, ensuring awareness, training, and adherence to company safety regulations.Investigate all industrial and non-industrial incidents involving company or contractor personnel, identify root causes, and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.Oversee maintenance, testing, and repair of all firefighting and emergency equipment, including fire tenders, hydrants, extinguishers, and protection systems.Monitor and manage inventory of firefighting, safety, and pollution control materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment through approved procurement procedures.Conduct regular office and site inspections to identify hazards, verify compliance with safety signage and barricades, and provide guidance to supervisors on safe working practices.Lead safety awareness and training programs using audiovisual aids, practical demonstrations, and field-based exercises to enhance safety culture.Lead initial emergency responses to incidents, including firefighting, containment, and first aid coordination, and provide detailed incident reports and recommendations.Issue and control work permits, gas testing authorizations, and standby safety coverage for high-risk activities, ensuring strict compliance with permit-to-work procedures.Maintain statistical safety data and prepare periodic safety performance and incident analysis reports with recommendations for improvement.Oversee safety audits and inspections, preparing detailed audit reports and following up on the implementation of corrective actions.Develop and propose annual requirements for safety equipment, training, and manpower to support budget and operational planning.Drive continuous improvement in field safety performance by mentoring staff, promoting hazard reporting, and reinforcing safety leadership at all levels.Education:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or equivalent technical disciplineExperience:Minimum 10-15 years of fire and safety experience within the oil andgas industryProven track record in emergency response, safety management systems, and incident investigationCore Skills:HSE management and risk assessmentFire prevention and emergency response planningSafety inspection and auditingSafety training design and deliveryCommunication and incident reportingRoot cause analysis and corrective action planningLeadership and coordination under emergency conditionsPreferred:Certification in Firefighting, NEBOSH, or equivalent HSE qualificationFluent in English (written and spoken)
