Job PurposeTo ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of supplier invoices and payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting uninterrupted business operations. The role is responsible for managing accounts payable activities in accordance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities1. Invoice Processing & Verification•Review, validate, and process supplier invoices in accordance with purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRN), and contractual agreements (3-way matching).•Verify invoice accuracy, including pricing, quantities, taxes (VAT), and supporting documentation.Process invoices related to pharmaceutical operations, including raw materials, APIs, packaging materials, laboratory supplies, utilities, and service providers.•Ensure invoices are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.2. Payment Management•Prepare and process supplier payments through approved payment methods in accordance with contractual payment terms.•Monitor payment schedules and due dates to ensure timely settlement of vendor obligations.•Support cash flow planning by coordinating payment priorities with Finance Management.•Resolve payment discrepancies and ensure proper documentation of payment transactions.3. Vendor Management & Coordination•Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor master data within the ERP system.•Respond promptly to supplier inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.•Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and matching issues.•Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers to support smooth business operations.4. Compliance, Financial Controls & Audit Support•Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, GxP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.•Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all Accounts Payable transactions.•Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records and supporting documentation.•Ensure proper segregation of duties and adherence to approval workflows.5. Reporting & Financial Reconciliation•Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.•Prepare vendor reconciliations and investigate outstanding balances.•Generate Accounts Payable aging reports and monitor overdue liabilities.•Reconcile the Accounts Payable sub-ledger with the General Ledger and resolve any discrepancies.6. Process Improvement & Systems Support•Identify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes and operational efficiency.•Support ERP enhancements, digital transformation initiatives, and e-invoicing implementation.•Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience•1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.•Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle) is preferred.•Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, financial controls, and reconciliation activities.•Cairo Residents Only•Good knowledge of VAT regulations and financial reporting requirements.•Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
