Role Description The Freight Forwarder role at Midas Furniture is a full-time, on-site position based in Smart Village. The person in this role coordinates and manages the movement of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective freight transportation for local and international shipments. Day-to-day tasks include arranging forwarding and export services, preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, tracking shipments, and resolving any transport or logistics issues. The Freight Forwarder collaborates closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize routing, maintain compliance with regulations, and support inventory and delivery schedules. This role also involves delivering responsive customer service, providing shipment updates, and maintaining accurate records to support smooth logistics operations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Freight Forwarding and Freight Transportation to manage end-to-end shipment planning and execution. Candidates should possess skills in Forwarding and Export to handle international logistics, documentation, and customs-related processes. Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding shipments and delivery status. Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, preferably within retail or furniture sectors. Ability to interpret shipping documents, contracts, and regulations, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with logistics and shipment tracking systems, and good command of MS Office tools. Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to work under deadlines. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
