Job DescriptionOverviewThis entry‑level role provides technical and coordination support across a broad range of environmental projects, including environmental assessment and permitting, community and stakeholder engagement, and environmental site assessment and remediation activities. The position is ideal for a recent graduate seeking exposure to the full project lifecycle, from proposal development and desktop research to data management, and technical reporting.Working closely with project managers, senior environmental professionals, and multidisciplinary teams, you will assist with EIAs, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), environmental data compilation, regulatory tracking, report preparation, and project coordination. The role supports multiple projects concurrently and offers strong opportunities to build foundational technical, regulatory, and project delivery skills in the environmental consulting field.Your roleThe role supports environmental projects across one or more functional areas listed below, with responsibilities adjusted based on project needs and individual skills.Provide technical and coordination support across environmental projects, including project planning, proposal development, scheduling, document control, and general support to project managers and senior staff.Conduct desktop research and assist with environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory compliance activities, including stakeholder tracking and preparation of engagement and reporting materials.Support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), field programs, sampling activities, data compilation, and remediation‑related tasks under supervision.Compile, QA/QC, and manage environmental datasets, support GIS mapping inputs and environmental graphics.Draft, format, proofread, and consolidate technical reports, tables, figures, and appendices; support project close‑out documentation and archiving.Assist with data analysis, dashboards, and reporting tools as required.About youMust have Skills:Bachelor's degree (Science, geography).Bilingual in French and English.Preferable Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills are highly valued.Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Willingness to learn, show initiative, and support a variety of technical and coordination tasks.Ability to work across multiple projects and, where required, across different time zones.Technical & Software Skills (Assets, Not Required):Experience or coursework related to environmental assessment, permitting, or site remediation.Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro).Exposure to environmental data management systems (e.g., Earthsoft EQuIS, gINT).Experience with AutoCAD or environmental mapping/graphics tools.Knowledge of Canadian environmental regulations, Phase I/II ESA processes, or remediation practices.Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint or Teams.Core Competencies (Required):Detail‑oriented with a strong quality‑assurance mindsetEagerness to learn and develop technical environmental skillsProfessional communication and collaborative approachAdaptability and flexibility in a fast‑paced, project‑based environmentCommitment to technical integrity, safety, and continuous improvementExperience Level:Entry‑level / Graduates (no work experience required).Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: 1- Faculty of Science (physics, chemistry, biology, … etc.), 2- Faculty of literature (geography).Language:Advanced proficiency in French and English (written and verbal).
