About the RoleWe're looking for an Accounting Team Lead to bridge day-to-day execution with team oversight across our Egypt and KSA operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant, you'll keep the accounting engine running accurately and on time — while developing the junior accountants around you and acting as a dependable second-in-command.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily accounting operations — AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations across Egypt and KSA entities.Support the monthly and quarterly close process, reviewing team entries for accuracy before escalating to the Chief Accountant.Prepare and review financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal and external use.Monitor compliance with local tax requirements and flag issues to the Chief Accountant in a timely manner.Assist with cash flow tracking, budget monitoring, and variance reporting on a regular basis.Guide, mentor, and review the work of 2–5 junior and mid-level accountants, ensuring quality and timeliness.Maintain and improve accounting procedures in Odoo ERP, identifying gaps and escalating system issues.Coordinate with external auditors during audit cycles by preparing schedules and responding to queries.Act as the team's first point of escalation when the Chief Accountant is unavailable.Requirements Must-Have4–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP — required, not optional.Working knowledge of IFRS and Egyptian tax regulations; KSA exposure is a strong plus.Solid command of GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.Experience reviewing junior accountants' work and ensuring output quality.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Nice-to-HaveProfessional certification in progress or completed: CMA, CPA, or ACCA.Experience in a multi-entity or multi-country accounting environment.Familiarity with ERP configuration, chart of accounts setup, or process improvement initiatives.
