DescriptionAmazon Egypt Operations is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and customer-obsessed General Manager Assistant to support the General Manager of Egypt Operations. This role provides direct support to the Egypt Operations leadership team and serves as a key coordination point across Fulfillment, Transportation, Delivery Station, and corporate support functions.The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, exercise sound judgment, and maintain the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. This role requires someone who can manage competing priorities, anticipate business needs, and operate effectively with limited guidance while supporting a large and diverse operational network.The General Manager Assistant will play a critical role in enabling leadership effectiveness by managing executive priorities, coordinating business activities, facilitating communication across teams, and driving organizational efficiency.Key job responsibilitiesExecutive Support Proactively manage the General Manager’s calendar, ensuring effective prioritization of business-critical activities, operational reviews, leadership meetings, site visits, and stakeholder engagements. Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including itinerary management, accommodation, transportation, and expense reconciliation. Prepare meeting materials, briefing documents, leadership updates, and presentations for senior leadership meetings. Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Leadership Team Coordination Partner closely with Fulfillment Center, Transportation, Delivery Station, Finance, HR, Safety, and Engineering leaders to coordinate activities across the Egypt Operations network. Track and follow up on key action items, business commitments, and leadership deliverables. Support operational planning cycles, business reviews, peak readiness activities, and strategic initiatives. Facilitate communication between the General Manager and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.Site and Visitor Management Coordinate executive visits, leadership tours, customer visits, and external stakeholder engagements. Manage visitor scheduling, site access requirements, safety inductions, and meeting logistics. Support the planning and execution of regional and global leadership visits.Events and Employee Engagement Organize leadership meetings, town halls, all-hands sessions, off-sites, and employee engagement events. Support recognition programs, employee experience initiatives, and network-wide engagement activities. Coordinate logistics, budgets, suppliers, and communications for events and site activities.Administrative Operations Manage reception and administrative activities where applicable, ensuring professional standards are maintained. Coordinate meeting room scheduling, office resources, supplies, and shared facilities. Support vendor management, purchase requests, petty cash processes, and budget tracking as required. Oversee communication boards, announcements, and leadership communications within common areas.Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, communication mechanisms, and leadership workflows. Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and productivity. Support the implementation of scalable processes across the Egypt Operations organization.Basic Qualifications 4+ years of senior level leadership support, or 5+ years of executive assistant experience Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams Experience with domestic or international travel coordination, or experience with executive level calendar management Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standardsPreferred Qualifications Experience working in an operations, supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization Experience in senior level leadership support, or experience managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, or asset management Experience working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal or equivalent Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in a relevant fieldOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
