General Manager – Calcium Carbonate Mining & Export IndustryLocation: Egypt Company: Confidential – Emerging Calcium Carbonate Mining & Export CompanyAbout the OpportunityA fast-growing startup operating in the calcium carbonate mining and export sector is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the company’s establishment, growth, and international expansion.The ideal candidate will combine strong business leadership capabilities with deep knowledge of the calcium carbonate industry, mining operations, processing, and export markets.This is a strategic leadership role for an entrepreneurial executive who can build a business, develop markets, establish operational excellence, and drive sustainable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the overall business strategy and execution plan to achieve growth objectives.Manage the full business cycle from mining operations through processing, quality control, sales, and export activities.Develop and implement commercial strategies to expand the company’s presence in international markets.Build strong relationships with global customers, distributors, and strategic partners.Oversee operational performance, cost management, profitability, and business sustainability.Establish organizational structure, processes, and governance suitable for a growing company.Lead and develop the management team while creating a high-performance culture.Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental requirements, and export standards.Identify new business opportunities and market expansion opportunities.Candidate ProfileMinimum 10–15 years of experience in the calcium carbonate, minerals, mining, or industrial minerals industry.Proven experience in managing mining, processing, or mineral-based manufacturing businesses.Strong understanding of calcium carbonate products, applications, quality requirements, and global market dynamics.Experience in export-oriented businesses with international customers.Demonstrated success in business growth, commercial development, and operational management.Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking capabilities.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale a business.Preferred BackgroundCandidates currently or previously working as:General Manager / Managing Director in calcium carbonate companies.Business Unit Director in industrial minerals.Senior Operations or Commercial Leaders within mining companies.
