The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the American curriculum, covering core subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Daily responsibilities include creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and integrating technology to enhance learning. The teacher will communicate regularly with families and colleagues, contribute to school initiatives, and support students in practicing the school’s core values of respect, tolerance, inclusion, and perseverance. Additional duties may include participating in professional development, school events, and collaborative planning with the grade-level team.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Teaching and Elementary Education skills, with demonstrable experience in early primary/Grade 1 classrooms.Candidates should possess Curriculum Development and Education skills, including the ability to design standards-based, well-balanced lesson plans and assessments.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear classroom communication and effective collaboration with colleagues and families.Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline. A degree in Education, Elementary Education, English, or a related field is preferred but not required.Valid teaching certification/license appropriate for elementary grades, or eligibility to obtain one.Experience with American-based curricula and student-centered, inquiry-driven teaching methods is highly beneficial.Ability to foster a safe, inclusive classroom climate and support diverse learners, including multilingual and multicultural students.Comfort with integrating educational technology into daily instruction and student activities.Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a school team.
