Head of Accounting Department

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt, for the Head of Accounting Department. The Head of Accounting Department will oversee and manage all accounting operations and accounting teams in both UAE & Egypt , including the preparation of financial statements and reports, adherence to accounting regulations, and ensuring financial accuracy for portfolio of clients . Key responsibilities to supervise team of accountants in UAE & Egypt .Review the monthly closing for portfolio of clients.Train the accountants to enhance their financial capabilities if required .Lead the communications and discussions with the clients management and attend meeting online and physical meetings if required. Prepare checklists for reviewing the closing steps for group of bookkeeping clients.suggest any development in the accounting and bookkeeping operations in the group.Report to the management of FCG and the management of the clients for the deliverable and work progress. Enhance the efficiency of the team working in his or her department QualificationsPrior experience in Audit Firm or Accounting and Tax Firm is a must Ability to handle and train team of Arab and Non Arab Professional Accountants is a must - English proficiency is a Must Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial ReportingExceptional Analytical Skills and in-depth knowledge of FinanceExtensive experience in Accounting and understanding of accounting principlesProven leadership and team management skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a strong advantageProficiency in accounting software and financial management toolsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsProven track record in managing budgets and financial planningKnowledge of the financial consulting space, particularly in the GCC and North Africa markets, is a plus
