The HSE Engineer will implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs across production and support areas, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Daily responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, job safety analyses, and workplace inspections, as well as identifying hazards and recommending preventive and corrective actions. The role involves developing, updating, and enforcing HSE procedures, supporting incident and near-miss investigations, and preparing reports and metrics for management review. The HSE Engineer will also coordinate emergency preparedness activities, lead or support safety drills, and deliver training sessions to enhance safety awareness and safe work practices among all employees. Collaboration with operations, maintenance, quality, and management teams is essential to foster a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance.Qualifications Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Safety Engineering, particularly in industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environments.Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate Training programs and safety awareness initiatives for diverse teams and shifts.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, or related field) or a comparable technical discipline.Familiarity with applicable HSE laws, regulations, and standards, and experience implementing management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is an asset.Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive improvements in HSE performance.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.Relevant HSE certifications or training (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are preferred.
