Pinerium is seeking a motivated, innovative, and technology-driven Home Automation Engineer Intern to support the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of smart home and building automation solutions.This internship is designed for candidates interested in home automation, IoT technologies, smart systems, low-current solutions, and digital transformation. The intern will work closely with Home Automation Engineers, IoT Specialists, Technical Teams, and Solution Consultants to gain hands-on experience in smart device integration, automation systems, system configuration, testing, and customer solutions.The ideal candidate is eager to learn, analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about smart technologies, connected devices, and intelligent automation systems.Key ResponsibilitiesHome Automation Solution Support Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of home automation systems. Support smart home and smart building solution deployment activities. Help configure automation devices, controllers, sensors, and gateways. Assist in validating system functionality and automation scenarios. Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities for automation environments. Smart Device Integration & Configuration Assist in integrating smart devices, lighting systems, climate control systems, and security solutions. Support configuration of automation platforms and control interfaces. Help test communication between connected devices and automation systems. Assist in validating interoperability between hardware and software components. Support system optimization and performance improvement activities. System Testing & Technical Support Assist in testing automation workflows, schedules, and control scenarios. Support troubleshooting activities under the guidance of senior engineers. Help identify system issues and document findings. Assist in validating fixes and system enhancements. Support customer acceptance and handover activities. Documentation & Project Support Assist in preparing technical documentation, configuration records, and installation reports. Support maintaining project documentation and system inventories. Help create user guides and operational documentation. Assist in documenting troubleshooting procedures and technical solutions. Ensure documentation accuracy and consistency. Learning & Professional Development Participate in home automation, IoT, and smart systems training sessions. Learn automation technologies, smart home protocols, and industry best practices. Stay updated with emerging technologies, smart devices, and automation trends. Participate in Pinerium Academy learning programs. Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Final-year student or fresh graduate in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Strong interest in home automation, IoT technologies, smart homes, and building automation systems. Basic understanding of automation systems, sensors, controllers, and smart devices. Familiarity with smart home technologies, automation platforms, or IoT solutions is preferred. Basic understanding of networking and communication protocols is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-paced environments. Basic programming or configuration knowledge is considered an advantage. Familiarity with platforms such as Fibaro, Homey, Aeotec, Sonoff, HDL, Orvibo, BroadLink, or similar technologies is a plus. Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus). Additional Requirement: Candidate must have their own laptop. Must be a non-smoker (all types).
