Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.Assign duties and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with hospital standards, policies, and infection control requirements.Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training as needed.Investigate and address housekeeping-related complaints and take corrective actions promptly.Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of housekeeping requests.Conduct orientation and departmental training for newly assigned housekeeping staff.Ensure the proper use, handling, and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and supplies.Monitor inventory levels of cleaning materials and supplies and report shortages to the Housekeeping Manager.Prepare daily and weekly reports on housekeeping activities, staff attendance, and operational issues.Ensure that all assigned areas, patient rooms, offices, and public areas are maintained according to established standards.Inspect facilities regularly and report maintenance issues, repairs, or equipment replacement needs to the concerned department.Assist in emergencies and support housekeeping operations during staff shortages or high-demand periods.Maintain accurate records related to staff attendance, work assignments, and housekeeping activities.Participate in departmental meetings and communicate organizational policies and procedures to the housekeeping team.Ensure compliance with hospital safety regulations, infection prevention standards, and quality requirements.Support the Housekeeping Manager in implementing departmental objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping operations, preferably within hospitals, healthcare facilities, hotels, or large organizations.Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Healthcare Administration, or any related field.Good command of English (written and spoken).Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work effectively under pressure.Knowledge of infection control and healthcare housekeeping standards is an advantage.
