The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for industrial and commercial facilities, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layouts, and preparation of detailed design documents and drawings. The role includes coordinating with cross-functional teams, attending site visits, and supporting installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will review and interpret project specifications, prepare technical reports, support tender and proposal development, and assist in resolving design-related issues during project execution. Day-to-day activities also include collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining design standards and documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of HVAC design practices.Qualifications Strong core engineering foundation, including Mechanical Engineering and HVAC system design principles.Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for HVAC layouts, equipment detailing, and construction documentation.Experience in Machine Design and component selection relevant to HVAC equipment and mechanical assemblies.Background in Research and Development (R&D) for evaluating new technologies, improving system efficiency, and supporting innovation.Project Management skills to plan tasks, track progress, coordinate with stakeholders, and deliver projects on time and within scope.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Familiarity with relevant HVAC codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., ASHRAE, local building regulations).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.Prior experience in industrial or commercial HVAC projects is an advantage.Willingness to work on-site, conduct field visits, and support commissioning and troubleshooting activities as needed.
