Factory Manager – Packaging & Strap ManufacturingLocation: Alexandria Industry: Packaging / Plastic Manufacturing / PP & PET StrapsJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations for a packaging and plastic strap production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PP/PET strap manufacturing, stretch film, packaging materials, production planning, quality control, maintenance, and team leadership.The Factory Manager will ensure efficient plant operations, productivity improvement, cost optimization, and compliance with safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all factory operations including production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and logistics.Lead manufacturing processes for:PP strapsPET strapsStretch filmPackaging materialsMonitor production KPIs, machine efficiency, waste reduction, and downtime.Develop production plans to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.Ensure product quality meets company and customer standards.Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programs for extrusion and strap production machines.Control factory budgets, operational costs, and raw material utilization.Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations.Lead and train supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators.Coordinate with procurement, sales, and supply chain departments.Prepare operational and production performance reports for senior management.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Polymer, or related field).8–15 years of manufacturing experience.Minimum 5 years in a Factory Manager or Production Manager role.Strong experience in:PP/PET strap productionExtrusion processesPackaging manufacturingPlastic convertingKnowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.Strong leadership and people management skills.Experience with ERP systems and production reporting tools.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Fluency in Arabic and English.SkillsProduction PlanningExtrusion TechnologyLean ManufacturingCost ControlQuality ManagementTeam LeadershipPreventive MaintenanceSupply Chain CoordinationHSE ComplianceERP SystemsKPIsProduction efficiencyWaste reductionMachine downtimeOn-time deliveryProduct defect rateLabor productivityCost per ton/unitSafety performance
