Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer (Senior Systems Engineer)We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, operate, and continuously optimize complex enterprise IT infrastructure. In this role, you will act as a last-level technical expert, ensuring the stability, security, and standardization of IT services while supporting infrastructure projects and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, install, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise IT infrastructure componentsManage and support virtual server environments, terminal services, backup and recovery solutions, monitoring systems, endpoint protection platforms, database systems, and secure file transfer solutionsProvide last-level support by independently handling incidents, problems, and escalationsContribute to IT projects through technical consultation, planning, and solution designCoordinate tasks and deliverables with external service providers, internal IT teams, and business stakeholdersDevelop and implement automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with information security standards, ISMS policies, and regulatory requirementsCreate and maintain high-quality technical documentation and standardized proceduresParticipate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance activitiesPerform defined IT service management roles such as Incident, Problem, and Change ManagementRequired Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum of five years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or enterprise infrastructure administrationStrong expertise in Windows and Linux server environmentsExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or ProxmoxKnowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions such as VeeamExperience managing terminal server environments, monitoring tools, and endpoint security solutionsFamiliarity with database administration and secure file transfer technologiesPractical experience in infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python)Solid understanding of ITIL practices, including incident, problem, and change managementStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured and goal-oriented approachAbility to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage priorities in complex environmentsExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearlyHigh level of ownership, reliability, and adaptability in dynamic international environmentsITIL Foundation certification and working proficiency in English and German are considered an advantageThis role is suited for professionals who are passionate about enterprise infrastructure, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
