Internal Audit Supervisor

JOB PURPOSEPerforms complex level professional internal auditing work. Work involves leading or conducting performance, financial, and compliance audit; providing consulting services to the organization’s management and staff; providing key input to development of the annual audit plan; and providing training and coaching to internal audit staff. Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards.RESPONSIBILITIESAuditManages the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the organization's audit systems.Risk Management & AnalysisDevelops and/or delivers a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or control process.LegalDelivers prescribed outcomes and/or provides paralegal support services while operating within the organization's established legal systems and protocols.Document & Data ManagementCreates a local document & data management system to support an office or department.Data Collection & AnalysisConducts research using primary data sources and selects relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends.TASKSIdentifies and evaluates the organization’s risk areas and provides key input to the development of the annual audit plan.Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting for all processes and procedures.Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares working papers.Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.Communicates or assists in communicating the results of audit and consulting services via written reports.Provides or assists in providing training, coaching, and guidance to internal audit staff in conducting audits and other audit-related issues.Performs related work as assigned by internal audit director.Assists in preparing an annual audit plan.EXPERIENCE6-10 years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis.EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree from faculty of commerce.Technical Competenciesprofessional capability of reporting in English using both Microsoft word and PowerPointindependent conduction of audit assignment with minimal supervision handing the whole cycle from the process understanding to the report issuing and obtaining management feedback
