IT Networking & Data Center Officer

Key ResponsibilitiesManages communication system operation activities.Manages the implementation of communication system changes.Administration and development of LAN/WAN infrastructure services performed on data network devices such as Core and Edge routers and switches.Administration of voice and telecommunication systems including (CCM, Unity, PRI, Recording System) and its integration with KFH Egypt international entities.Investigation of LAN/WAN status to prevent downtime and perform troubleshooting as required to optimize the performance and cost effectiveness of the network.Manages the daily communication system support tasks (activity monitoring, end-systems modifications) processes and ensures adequate performance in problem analysis and fault resolution using monitoring programs and tools.Manages and administrates network security devices (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, E-Mail Gateway, Web Proxy, WAF, etc.), configuration changes, ensuring the delivery of healthy operations and provides key performance indicators concerning the required security measurements.Establishes and implements LAN/WAN security policies, procedures, and standards to comply with industry standard information security systems and adheres to KFH group policies.Analyzes communication system logs to identify hardware, software, and security issues and provides mitigation mechanisms.Implements regular network security audits and prepares security reports for communication system devices to identify gaps and recommend remedies based on system analysis and vendors/providers recommendations.Conducts security vulnerability analysis and resolution for network and communication equipment.Identifies and rectifies, as far as possible, any faults (hardware, software) in the communication system and acts as last resort before reporting to maintenance/support providers.Manages reports regularly discussing the effectiveness of the telecommunication and security infrastructure and possible future strategies.Oversees new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.Undertakes necessary research and training to gain thorough knowledge of relevant security and communication-related trends and technologiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in communications engineering /computer science or Equivalent2-8 years of relevant experienceSolid Knowledge in the following Technologies:-Routing & switching.-SDWAN-CISCO ACI-CISCO VoIPKnowledge of IT Security Technologies is a plus:-Firewalls-IPS/IDS-Web Proxy-WAF
