The Lab Engineer is responsible for supporting the instruction and delivery of laboratory courses offered to first-year students across the university. The role includes preparing laboratory equipment and materials, assisting students during practical sessions, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and supporting faculty members in maintaining an effective learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Management and coordination of Classical Mechanics, and Electricity and Magnetism labs.Design, analysis, preparation, and maintenance of experiments setups; prepare, revise, and improve the laboratory and safety manuals, and database.Write proposals and perform consultations with vendors for teaching and research lab equipment.Work as a Teaching Assistant on an adhoc basis.Other relevant duties assigned by the program as needed. B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.0–2 years of experience in laboratory operations, technical support, or academic laboratories is preferred.Strong technical knowledge of laboratory equipment, instruments, and safety procedures.Ability to support and guide students during laboratory sessions. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members and laboratory staff.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and laboratory documentation.Good command of written and spoken English.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple laboratory sessions efficiently.
