We are a world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) , delivering high quality services to help clients meet the growing challenges of quality, safety, environmental protection and social responsibility.Position OverviewThe Lawyer will provide specialized legal support across Bureau Veritas's SME operations, assisting the Legal Manager in managing contracts, compliance matters, and legal risks while developing expertise in the region's regulatory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Support & Contract ManagementAssist in providing legal support to different product lines across the Middle EastReview, draft, and analyse engineering contracts, subcontractor agreements, JV contracts, framework agreement, NDAs, amendments …ets and with focus on highlight contractual risks and deviations such as liability, indemnities, and insurance provisionsSupport our business projects in progress, including contract review and risk mitigationAssist in providing training and guidance to staff on compliance-related mattersSupport compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including procurement laws in SME regionThis position reports directly to the SME Legal & Compliance Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational legal strategy and compliance objectives.Required QualificationsLegal Qualification: Law degree and admission to practice in ME jurisdiction(s)Experience: 5-10 years of engineering and construction legal practice, preferably in the Middle East regionLanguage: Fluent in Arabic and EnglishCore Competencies:Strong contract drafting and review skills such as FIDIC contracts and governmental procurement contractsKnowledge of procurement laws, and civil laws in SME Region which includes UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Pakistan.Background working with engineering firms or construction contractorsWorking ConditionsBased in EgyptMay require occasional travel within the RegionCollaborative work environment with legal and compliance teamsSHAPING A WORLD OF TRUST - WHAT WE VALUE AT BVWe create trust between businesses and we are committed to cultivating an open and inclusive environment wherever we operate and so do our employees.
