About UsTransforming lives through learning for over 30 yearsOur teams work in education consultancy, professional development, early-years & primary tutoring, digital learning and publishing to improve learning for everyone.Lead Consultant – Education Sector Analysis & Planning (Egypt)Location: Remote with potential travel to EgyptContract Type: Consultancy (project-based)About The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant to lead a high-profile international education programme supporting the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Egypt.This assignment will deliver technical assistance to strengthen institutional capacity for:Education Sector Analysis (ESA)Education Sector Planning (ESP)Implementation, monitoring, and reform deliveryThe work will involve close collaboration with government stakeholders and international partners to support evidence-based, sustainable education reform.Role OverviewThe Lead Consultant will provide overall technical leadership and strategic direction for the programme. Key responsibilities include:Leading the delivery of ESA updates and sector planning processesManaging and coordinating a multi-disciplinary team of consultantsProviding technical oversight and quality assurance across all outputsLeading engagement with Ministry stakeholders and development partnersDesigning and delivering capacity strengthening activities (workshops, mentoring, technical clinics)Ensuring outputs are aligned with national priorities and implementation systemRequirementsEssential Experience & QualificationsMaster’s degree (or higher) in education, economics, public policy, or related field15+ years’ experience in education sector development or related fieldsDemonstrated experience leading:Education Sector Analysis (ESA)Education Sector Plans or similar national-level strategiesProven track record managing complex, multi-expert consultancy teamsExtensive experience working with Ministries of Education and/or government systemsStrong experience producing high-quality technical reports and policy outputsProven ability to deliver capacity building and institutional strengtheningDesirable Experience (Strongly Preferred)Experience working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, ideally including EgyptFamiliarity with Global Partnership for Education (GPE) processesExperience working in large-scale national education reform programmesLanguage RequirementsFluency in English (required)Arabic language skills are highly desirable but not essentialKey CompetenciesStrategic leadership and programme oversightStrong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skillsExcellent analytical and report-writing capabilityAbility to translate evidence into practical, implementable policy and plansExperience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environmentsApplication InstructionsPlease SubmitCV (max 3–4 pages, highlighting relevant assignments)Brief statement of suitabilityAvailability and daily rateBenefitsHow to ApplyPlease Apply Using The Link Below (cover Letter Required)https://zrec.eu/wpeq0
