The German International University is inviting applications from qualified, dynamic applicants with passion for excellence for a Lecturer in Fashion Technology: 2D/3D-CAD Pattern Design and Processing Technology position at the Faculty of Design - Fashion Department. There are exciting and challenging years ahead for the University and we are sure that your contribution will assist us to achieve our goals this year and beyond.Position Summary:We are seeking a qualified and motivated Instructor with a strong background in fashion technology and pattern design to join our Fashion Design Department. The position requires a deep understanding of both analog and digital pattern making, combined with teaching experience and curriculum development skills. The successful candidate will be engaged in teaching, supervising students, developing syllabi, and contributing to an internationally connected, forward-thinking academic environment.Qualifications:University degree (MA) or higher and extensive professional experience in a related discipline of fashion design / apparel business.Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a relevant discipline (fashion design, pattern making, or clothing technology), ideally within industrial or atelier settings.Demonstrated proficiency in analog pattern making (draping, flat pattern, grading, and adaptation) for a diverse range of garments across gender, body types, and design styles (e.g., men’s and women’s wear, tailored, casual, avant-garde).Competence in digital pattern design systems (e.g., Gerber AccuMark, CLO3D, Optitex, Lectra) is highly desirable. Experience in digital-to-analog workflow integration is considered a strong asset.Experience in teaching or instruction (workshops, higher education, vocational training), especially in analog and/or digital pattern development.Proven ability to develop and elaborate syllabi independently for beginner to advanced levels (including Bachelor’s and Master’s supervision).
