Assistant/Associate Professor for Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering

Job profile: We are looking for Candidates with academic and professional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Engineering Design, Machine Elements, CAD, Technical Drawing, Mechanics I/II, Mechanics of materials, Machining Processes, Project Management, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Engineering Physics.The applicant should be ready to familiarize himself with neighboring disciplines in the field of Robotics & Automation, and manufacturing. In addition, the applicant should be able to teach core and major courses in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the undergraduate, as well as more advanced and elective courses at the postgraduate level. The position will be equipped with a modern research and training lab.Qualifications :• Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or Doctorate• Candidates should be able to demonstrate their extensive industrial working experience (at least 3 years) in a related discipline: Work experience in the industrial development of different mechanical/mechatronic applications, with the aid of CAD software packages, and the use of robotics is also expected. Expertise in hands-on experience of developing projects in related multidisciplinary field is desirable.• Track record of collaborative research and successful supervision• Excellent teaching ability at both the undergraduate and graduate levels • High capacity to develop pedagogical innovations and to manage a study program • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)• Proficiency in English (oral and written)Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching.
