Ensures proper documentation, including transit documents and customs clearances, records forshipments. • Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, forwarders,customers and agents in a timely manner. • Prepare all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customsclearance, etc.). • Maintain courteous, prompt and efficient customer relations & same with related departmentsinternally. • Oversee and complete accurate billing from service providers based on agreements while ensuringaccurate costs are maintained. • Plans and schedules appropriate modes of transportation based on daily business needs.• Schedules the appropriate service line for the situation (across all modes and all trade lanes) to maintain a cost-effective balance between customer service and cost of shipment.• Works closely with client’s representative to ensure service satisfaction.• Analyses service failures/ issues and implements performance processes to enhance future service delivery.• Responsible for resolving all internal/external client customer service issues in a cost effective and expeditious manner. • Keep records of correspondences/agreements with freight forwarders.• Help negotiating the best deals from insurance companies with the most competitive offers.• Revise and review invoices with freight forwarders and keep records.• Liaise with all the service providers in order to help building the strongest rapport. • Follow up on customs invoices for each shipment and communicate them to the related parties. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in logistics, preferably in fresh produce/export operationsStrong knowledge of shipping processes, documentation, and export proceduresGood coordination and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure, especially during peak seasonProficiency in office applications and basic reportingPrevious experience in dealing with shipping lines and freight forwarders is a plus
