Job SummaryThe Mechanical Construction Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all MEP construction activities across assigned projects, including HVAC, firefighting, plumbing and associated electrical systems. The role ensures efficient planning, coordination, and execution of site activities while maintaining compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.This position also involves managing site teams and MEP managers, coordinating with the technical office and stakeholders, monitoring subcontractor performance, and ensuring accurate review of project submissions and payments. The goal is to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all on-site MEP construction activities, including HVAC, firefighting systems, plumbing and related electrical works. Supervise and guide MEP site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective execution across all project phases. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction activities in alignment with civil and architectural disciplines. Review and validate mechanical and electrical designs, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance. Monitor project progress, optimize resource utilization, and take corrective actions to address delays or risks. Coordinate closely with the Technical Office, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution. Attend client and consultant meetings to present progress updates, resolve technical issues, and secure approvals. Review and approve subcontractors’ invoices, interim payment certificates (IPCs), and all technical submissions. Oversee procurement coordination for mechanical materials and equipment. Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems. Enforce compliance with HSE policies, QA/QC procedures, and relevant international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC). Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to senior management. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all project activities.RequirementsEducation & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 8–10 years of experience in MEP construction projects, with strong exposure to site execution. Proven experience in managing teams and subcontractors on construction sites.Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing and general MEP systems. Good understanding of electrical systems related to construction projects. Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, NEC, and IEC. Proficiency in project management and design tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD; Revit is a plus).Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
