Position Overview: Taj HR is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead and oversee the mechanical design team in delivering high-quality engineering solutions. The successful candidate will manage design projects, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the mechanical design team to achieve project goals and deadlines. Develop and review mechanical design plans, drawings, and specifications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and project management to ensure design integration and coherence. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards. Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. Oversee design reviews, approvals, and revisions. Manage resources, budgeting, and scheduling related to mechanical design projects. Stay updated with latest trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering design. Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with their objectives. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, codes, and standards. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar. Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure. Experience in reviewing and approving mechanical design documents and drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
