Prepare and review mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation in accordance with project specifications and standards.Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other technical office staff to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within overall project plans.Conduct quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and prepare bills of quantities for mechanical works.Assist in the selection and evaluation of mechanical materials, equipment, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.Provide technical support and solutions to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.Review and interpret project contracts, drawings, and specifications to identify and resolve discrepancies or technical issues.Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize mechanical system designs and reduce project costs without compromising quality.Monitor project progress, prepare regular technical reports, and update documentation as required.Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards in all technical office activities.Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to address technical queries and facilitate project approvals. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.2 to 8 years of proven experience in a technical office or similar engineering role within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and drafting software. Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Experience in preparing shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
