Job Purpose:Responsible for leading and managing the engineering design, technical office, and execution activities of MEP and industrial refrigeration systems for cold storage, freezing, and industrial projects, through overseeing technical designs, calculations, multidisciplinary coordination, technical documentation, and site support activities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with international standards, quality requirements, and project timelines, while supporting testing, commissioning, handover processes, system integration, and energy performance optimization.Job Responsibilities:Technical Design & Engineering:Lead the design and development of refrigeration, and MEP systems for industrial and commercial projects.Perform and review cooling load calculations and system capacity analysis.Select suitable equipment and components based on project requirements and performance standards.Review and validate P&ID drawings and engineering documentation.Coordinate MEP disciplines to ensure design integration and clash-free execution.Support energy optimization initiatives and efficiency improvement studies.Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable international standards and codes.Technical Office Management:Manage preparation and submission of technical submittals and material approvals.Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings.Oversee BOQ review, quantity verification, and technical cost evaluations.Provide technical clarifications to internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.Maintain engineering document control and revision tracking processes.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding technical specifications and material compliance.Support procurement activities through technical evaluation and recommendation.Project Execution Support:Provide technical support to site teams during installation and execution phases.Supervise installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.Resolve technical issues and engineering challenges during project execution.Review and evaluate variation orders and technical modifications.Monitor project progress and support corrective actions when required.Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure timely project completion. Testing, Commissioning & Handover:Review testing procedures and analyze test results for system performance verification.Support commissioning activities for refrigeration and MEP systems.Ensure systems operate according to design requirements and performance standards.Prepare and review handover documentation, manuals, and final project records.Participate in client training and operational handover sessions.Support final inspection and project close-out activities.Standards, Safety & Compliance:Ensure compliance with refrigeration safety standards and environmental regulations.Apply international engineering standards and best practices throughout project lifecycle.Monitor quality control procedures and technical compliance.Promote safe working practices during engineering and site activities.Support internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.8+ years of experience.Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, MEP coordination, and industrial cooling applications.Experience in cooling load calculations, equipment selection, and P&ID review.Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, SolidWorks, or equivalent.Strong understanding of international standards and codes related to refrigeration and MEP systems (ASHRAE, ASME, SMACNA, ISO, IEC, etc.).Experience in technical office activities including technical submittals, shop drawings, BOQ review, and technical clarifications.Proven experience in project execution support, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and project handover.Knowledge of refrigeration safety requirements, quality control procedures, and compliance standards.Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.Ability to manage vendors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
