Job PurposeThe Nursing Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and organizing the nursing services within the hospital. The primary goal is to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintain professional nursing standards, and manage nursing staff efficiency while adhering to health regulations and safety standards.2. Key Responsibilities & DutiesA. Leadership & Strategic Planning• Develop and implement nursing departmental goals and objectives in alignment with the hospital’s strategic plan.• Establish nursing policies, procedures, and protocols according to national and international standards (e.g., GAHAR/JCI).• Participate in hospital committees (e.g., Quality, Infection Control, Patient Safety).B. Clinical Excellence & Quality Assurance• Monitor the quality of nursing care and patient outcomes through regular audits and rounds.• Ensure strict adherence to Infection Control policies and Patient Safety goals.• Oversee the implementation of Nursing Care Plans and ensure accurate medical documentation.C. Staff Management & Development• Manage the recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluation of the nursing team.• Prepare nursing rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts.• Identify training needs and coordinate Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs for nurses.D. Resource & Financial Management• Manage the nursing department budget and monitor the use of medical supplies and equipment.• Ensure that all medical equipment in nursing units is functional and regularly maintained.E. Communication & Patient Advocacy• Act as a liaison between the nursing staff, physicians, and hospital administration.• Handle patient complaints or concerns regarding nursing care promptly and professionally.A. Education & Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BScN) is mandatory.• Master’s Degree in Nursing Management or Healthcare Administration (MBA/MHA) is highly preferred.• Valid Professional License to practice nursing.B. Experience• A minimum of 10 -15 years of clinical experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
