Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at Doss Pharmacies in Cairo, Egypt. The Pharmacist is responsible for accurately dispensing prescribed medications, verifying dosages, checking for drug interactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and storage instructions, as well as answering questions to support safe and effective treatment. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date patient records, managing inventory and stock levels, checking expiry dates, and supporting periodic audits. In addition, the Pharmacist collaborates with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals, follows company policies and quality standards, and contributes to a clean, organized, and patient-focused environment.QualificationsStrong knowledge of pharmacology, medications, and therapeutic indications, with the ability to assess prescriptions for safety and effectiveness.Ability to provide clear, empathetic patient counseling, including explaining dosage instructions, side effects, and adherence strategies.Proficiency in pharmacy systems and basic computer skills to manage prescriptions, patient records, and inventory efficiently.Attention to detail and solid numerical skills to ensure accurate dispensing, labeling, and stock control.Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and compliance with local pharmacy regulations and company policies.Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or equivalent) from an accredited institution.Valid pharmacist license/registration in Egypt, or eligibility to obtain one in accordance with national regulations.Previous experience in community pharmacy or retail pharmacy is preferred but not strictly required for strong entry-level candidates.Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
