We take a holistic approach to marine engineering and design, focusing on everything from the overall concept to the smallest detail.As a Pipeline Designer, you will play a key role in the delivery of pipeline engineering projects, supporting the development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs for offshore pipeline systems. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will be responsible for the preparation of design layouts and technical process deliverables, including P&IDs, PFDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, material selection documentation and related engineering drawings.What will you be doing?Prepare high-quality pipeline layouts, engineering drawings and design documentation for a range of projects, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.Collaborate closely with engineering and multidisciplinary teams to support project execution and achieve project objectives.Support engineers and fellow designers in developing practical solutions to design and drafting issues.Liaise with clients and project teams on design and drafting matters, maintaining professional and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure all drawings and design deliverables comply with client specifications, industry codes, company standards and applicable regulations.Keep line managers informed of project progress, risks, concerns and resource requirements.Review and check engineering drawings, layouts and design deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance.Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior designers and drafting personnel where required.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional duties as required to support project and business needs.Demonstrate a strong commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and standards across all offices, project locations and client sites.What are we looking for?Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in pipeline design.Strong knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes, with the ability to interpret and apply them to process and pipeline design drawings.Experience updating engineering drawings based on field red-line mark-ups and as-built information.Practical understanding of pipeline fabrication, pipe fitting, routing and related construction activities.Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D and strong working knowledge of SmartPlant software.Experience using 3D design platforms such as PDMS, Tribon, Inventor or similar packages. Ability to work with point cloud data and 3D laser scan models. Proficient user of GIS software.Previous experience working on ADNOC projects is highly desirable.Experience developing or using automation and customisation tools within Autodesk software, such as AutoLISP or Python is desirable. Fluent in both Arabic and English, with strong written and spoken communication skills.Further InformationThis position will be based at our office in Cairo.
