Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.The OpportunityWe are seeking an Offset Plateroom Technician at our Lanett, AL folding carton facility.The Offset Plateroom Technician is responsible for building jobs utilizing computer software and making offset printing plates/coater plates, die vinyls, spot sheets while maintaining the equipment and systems. Also, responsible for housekeeping, organization, area safety, and personal safety.Key Activities / ResponsibilitiesComply with the plants’ safety requirements and maintain safe working environment including maintaining a high standard of housekeepingOperate software to step and repeat graphics and build jobsOperate plate making equipment including loading and outputting platesMaintain the Plateroom equipment (plate setter, processor and plotter table)Produce print proofs for copy as neededCorrectly complete all required documentation including quality records per ISO requirements, new job checklists, COA’s, etc.Store and locate coating plates in storage racksOperate plotter and use software to produce coater plates, die vinyl’s, and spot sheetsStage all print and coating plates, vinyl, etc. for jobs per press production scheduleRequirementsAbility to read materials to understand apply content such as instructional manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manualsAbility to write to accomplish such tasks as completing forms or communicating simple instructionsAbility to perform intermediate computer skillsAbility to carry out tasks which require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order Ability to complete tasks assigned with accuracy and a sense of urgencyAbility to adapt to schedule changesAbility to produce exact and correct graphic files for plate making with high attention to detailAbility to communicate business issues with leadership, maintenance, press crews and the graphics team Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
