Job Summary: As a Purchasing Specialist in the Oil & Gas Services industry, you will play a critical role in handling all transactional activities while aligning with strategic sourcing initiatives. You will be assisting procurement process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating and managing vendor relationships. Your tactical approach will be essential in ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and supporting the operational needs of the organization in the dynamic environment of the oil and gas sector.Job Description: Drive the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications and company standards.Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely approvals, acknowledgments, and delivery tracking and facilitate timely payments. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations.Participate in price comparisons, quotation analysis, and negotiation processes under the guidance of senior team members.Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.Support logistics planning, inventory control, and order fulfilment processes.Monitor supplier performance and assist in vendor evaluation activities.Support the invoice processing workflow - verifying invoices for accuracy, matching them to purchase orders and receipts, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across the supply chain.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other streams, Supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. OR Masters/MBA from ranked university in Egypt [ prferably AUC, GUC, AimShams, Cairo University, AAST ]Certifications such as Certified International Supply Chain Professional (CISCP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred.Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management for at least 2-3 years preferably ERP Knowledge & experience [Preferably SAP]Excellent written and spoken English is a must.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain workflows.Basics of negotiation skills with a keen eye for cost and value optimization.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and AnalyticsDigital mindset and well-versed with AI tools & technologyAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
