Job Summary: As a Purchasing Specialist in the Oil & Gas Services industry, you will play a critical role in handling all transactional activities while aligning with strategic sourcing initiatives. You will assist the procurement process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating and managing vendor relationships. Your tactical approach will be essential in ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and supporting the operational needs of the organization in the dynamic environment of the oil and gas sector.Key focus areas:Drive the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications and company standardsIssue and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely approvals, acknowledgments, and delivery tracking, and facilitate timely paymentCoordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operationParticipate in price comparisons, quotation analysis, and negotiation processes under the guidance of senior team membersMaintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentationSupport logistics planning, inventory control, and order fulfilment processesMonitor supplier performance and assist in vendor evaluation activitiesSupport the invoice processing workflow - verifying invoices for accuracy, matching them to purchase orders and receipts, and resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across the supply chainBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other streams, Supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. OR Masters/MBA from a ranked university in Egypt [preferably AUC, GUC, AimShams, Cairo University, AAST ]Certifications such as Certified International Supply Chain Professional (CISCP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferredProven experience in logistics and supply chain management for at least 2-3 years preferablyERP Knowledge & experience [Preferably SAP]
