Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QS Engineer to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing comprehensive quantity surveys, and ensuring accurate financial control throughout the construction lifecycle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced project environment.Prepare and analyze bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for construction projectsMonitor and control project costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective measuresReview construction contracts, specifications, and tender documents with meticulous attention to detailManage procurement processes and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectivenessPrepare detailed cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholdersCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve cost-related issuesMaintain comprehensive project documentation and maintain organized records of all financial transactionsConduct risk assessments related to project costs and budget implicationsEnsure compliance with Egyptian construction standards and local regulatory requirementsUtilize QS software and tools to analyze data, generate reports, and streamline cost management processesParticipate in tender evaluations and provide cost analysis recommendationsQualifications+10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in construction or engineering projectsStrong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and budgeting methodologiesProficiency in QS software such as Bluebeam, Primavera, AutoCAD, or similar toolsComprehensive understanding of construction contracts and procurement processesFamiliarity with Egyptian construction standards and building regulationsPreferred: Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D cost estimationPreferred: Knowledge of tender processes and bid evaluation proceduresPreferred: Experience in risk assessment and contingency planning for construction projects
