This role focuses on research, formulation development, laboratory testing, quality improvement, and cost optimization of PVC compounds for industrial applications.Conduct laboratory research and testing to develop and improve PVC compound formulations.Develop new PVC recipes for different applications such as gaskets, cables, fittings and industrial products.Work on cost reduction and raw material optimization projects while maintaining product quality and performance.Analyze customer technical data sheets and specifications and convert them into practical formulations and production parameters.Evaluate raw materials, additives, stabilizers, fillers, and pigments for performance and compatibility.Perform laboratory testing and quality checks on PVC compounds and finished products.Support Production during trials, startup, and troubleshooting of PVC compounding processes.Investigate product or process issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.Approve or reject produced batches based on laboratory and quality test results.Stop production in case of non-conformance or quality risks.Prepare technical reports, test records, and formulation documentation.Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to improve product consistency and manufacturing efficiency.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, processing, and material performance. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in PVC compounds, plastics manufacturing, polymer laboratories, or R&D.Experience in PVC formulation development or compounding is strongly preferred.Good understanding of PVC raw materials, stabilizers, fillers, additives, and processing behavior.Experience performing laboratory tests and quality analysis for polymer or plastic products.Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical data sheets and product specifications.Good knowledge of manufacturing and quality control processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical reporting.Good English communication skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally with Production and Quality teams.
