We provide customers who want premium international coverage with products and services to access the healthcare they need anytime, around the world, whether at home or when studying, living, travelling or working abroad.Bupa Global has offices around the world including London and Brighton (UK), Dublin (Europe), Miami (USA), Dubai (UAE, in partnership with OIC), Egypt and Hong Kong (China) as well as regional offices in mainland China, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Panama, Guatemala and Ecuador.We're looking to appoint an experienced Reinsurance Manager to join our growing team in Cairo.How You’ll Help Us Make Health HappenAs our Reinsurance Manager you'll be responsible for supervising the Reinsurance activities in Bupa Egypt Insurance in accordance with the local regulatory platform and Bupa Global direction and strategies.How You’ll Help Us Make Health HappenNegotiate treaty and facultative contracts, manage reinsurer relationships, analyse exposure models, and ensure compliance with regulatory and capital requirements.Prepare the quarterly reinsurance report that required by the regulator.Responsible for the renewal negotiation with the reinsurers of BEI and submitting all RI agreements to the local regulator on annual bases.Monitoring the score rating for BEI RI partners in accordance with the minimum regulatory requirements. Prepare re-insurance reports and present to the board and relevant committeesCollaborate with underwriting, finance, treasury, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processing.Fulfil all regulatory requirements that fall within the remit of the role and always comply with them.Maintain governance and control requirements to ensure that all internal governance requirements are met, including full compliance with all policies, audit actions, monitoring actions and risk appetite.Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports that required by the regulator.Oversee outwards reinsurance operations, including premium payments, claims notifications, and loss recoveries.Perform any tasks related to actuarial work and ad-hoc reporting.Technical Function Monitor market for current agreements and prepare competitive analysis reports.Produce charts, tables, and reports that explain the Reinsurance risk profile and/or claim profile.Implement the Reinsurance framework for Bupa Egypt as per the guidelines set by BEI management.Experience And Qualifications The role holder is expected to have the following experience and qualification/s:Graduate from Actuarial Science, insurance or any relevant study.Having at least 5 years' experience in reinsuranceStrong MS office skills is a must.Deep understanding of reinsurance treaty structures, quota share, and excess of loss arrangements.Excellent SQL/Excel VBA skills is an advantage.Strong data management and analytical reporting skills.Experience in medical insurance is an advantage.Resilience and confidence in own and Bupa’s ability to succeedActs ethically and honestly in all dealing with colleagues building compliance, authenticity and trust.Capable of representing Bupa at various external forums if needed (specially FRA).Why Bupa?We’re a health insurer and provider.
