Job Purpose:The Sales Director for Horeca and Retail is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth across the hotel, restaurant, catering (Horeca), and retail channels. This role combines strategic leadership, key account management, and market development to ensure strong market presence and profitability of the company’s food products.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets across Horeca and Retail channels.Identify new business opportunities, including new accounts, regions, or product categories.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform sales strategies.Drive category development initiatives to increase market share.Key Account & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including hotels, restaurants, caterers, distributors, and retail chains.Negotiate contracts, agreements, and pricing structures with major clients.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty through regular communication and support.Sales Operations & Team LeadershipLead, coach, and mentor the sales team to maximize performance.Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting to senior management.Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product teams to align sales and promotional activities.Marketing & Trade SupportCoordinate with marketing to plan and execute promotions, on-shelf merchandising, and category activations.Provide market feedback on products, packaging, and pricing to drive product development.Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all sales and marketing initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles within the food industry, preferably covering both Horeca and Retail.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business in competitive markets.Strong knowledge of Horeca operations, retail trade, and food distribution channels.Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
