Installs and configures database management software (DBMS) including RAC and Data Guard and applicable service packs and/or patches.Develops and implements database maintenance plans, including performing integrity checks, updating statistics and monitoring security and hardware resource utilization.Advanced knowledge of Oracle RACParticipates in data modeling and database logical and physical design.Analyzes long-term database performance trends to optimize database and application performance.Configures database server to work with middleware, web servers and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools.Design and implement a backup & recovery system and have extensive hands-on experience on various RMAN Backup and Recovery Scenarios.Expert in provisioning and decommission of database including Instance/RAC/ASM/grid control/data guardGathers and shares business requirements for their towers with the teams and ensures effective and efficient solutions are developed and implementedProblem solving and Decision Making - Resolve unusual or highly complex problems, with the involvement of others as required.
