Geidea Established in 2008, Geidea epitomizes customer focused empowerment and commercial success through continuous innovation.Geidea makes best in class digital payment solutions available for all by attracting and leveraging the best creative & entrepreneurial talent in the marketOur solutions give any business the chance to get ahead and reach for more no matter their size or maturity.Our technology mirrors our people - Smart, Innovative & Forward Thinkingwww.geidea.netTo maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new "Senior DevOps & Release Engineer"Job purpose:The purpose of this role is to lead and technically own the end-to-end release lifecycle of IT services and applications, ensuring reliable, secure, and timely delivery across multiple production environments and regions.responsible for executing release deployments across three regions, taking ownership of production release execution in close collaboration with DevOps and engineering teams, while maintaining alignment on tooling, automation, and operational standards.This role ensures that release management processes are implemented and continuously improved in compliance with regulatory requirements and ITIL best practices, while actively utilizing DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.Combining governance with hands-on technical execution, the role ensures release quality and stability through thorough validation, risk assessment, and rollback strategies, while minimizing service disruption.Additionally, the role drives cross-team coordination and operational transparency through structured release reporting, post-release reviews, incident analysis, and performance tracking, enabling continuous improvement and consistent release delivery across all regions.Responsibilities:Develop, own, and continuously enhance the release management framework, aligning with ITIL practices while ensuring practical implementation across complex production environments across three regions (KSA – EGY – UAE).Take full technical ownership of end-to-end release cycles, including planning, validation, deployment, and post-release verification across both cloud (AWS) and on-premise infrastructures.Execute and oversee production deployments of new services, configurations, and changes using modern DevOps toolchains (CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks), ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.Work closely and collaboratively with DevOps and engineering teams in a hands-on capacity to ensure alignment on deployment strategies, environment readiness, and operational standards.Build deep technical understanding of Geidea production systems across AWS and on-prem environments to effectively assess release impact, dependencies, and risks.Lead release readiness and go-live activities, including technical validation, rollback planning, and real-time issue resolution during deployments.Own release reporting and governance, including post-release reviews, incident analysis, and tracking of weekly release metrics (timelines, success rates, and deployment performance), driving continuous improvement and accountabilityQualifications:Minimum 4 years of experience in release management, or IT service management. bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.ITIL v4 certification.PMP certification is a plus.Technical experience with release management tools and CI/CD processes with DevOps background.Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
