Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage, maintain, and improve the organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server administration, virtualization platforms, enterprise backup solutions, network security, and database administration. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, security, performance, and scalability of all infrastructure systems.Key ResponsibilitiesServer & Infrastructure ManagementDeploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments. Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File Services. Monitor server performance and ensure system availability. Perform patch management and system upgrades. VirtualizationManage and maintain VMware vSphere / ESXi environments. Create and manage virtual machines and resource allocation. Optimize virtualization infrastructure performance and capacity. Perform VM migration, replication, and disaster recovery operations. Backup & Disaster RecoveryManage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Acronis, or similar platforms. Implement backup policies and retention strategies. Conduct regular backup verification and disaster recovery testing. Ensure business continuity and data protection compliance. Network & SecurityConfigure and manage FortiGate and Sophos firewalls. Implement VPN connectivity (Site-to-Site & Remote Access). Monitor security events and respond to incidents. Manage network segmentation, VLANs, and access control policies. Perform firewall policy reviews and security hardening. Microsoft ServicesManage Microsoft Active Directory environment. Troubleshoot authentication, permissions, and access-related issues. Maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and security configurations. Database AdministrationInstall, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server. Monitor database performance and optimize queries when required. Perform database backup, restoration, and maintenance activities. Support application teams in database-related troubleshooting. Storage & InfrastructureManage NAS and shared storage environments. Configure and maintain storage permissions and quotas. Monitor storage utilization and capacity planning. Support file-sharing and data access services. Monitoring & DocumentationImplement and maintain monitoring solutions. Analyze infrastructure alerts and performance metrics. Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and SOPs. Prepare technical reports and capacity planning recommendations. Security & ComplianceImplement security best practices and hardening standards. Manage endpoint security and antivirus solutions. Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities. Ensure compliance with company security policies. RequirementsRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Administration. Strong knowledge of: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 Active Directory & Group Policy VMware ESXi / vSphere Backup Solutions (Veeam, Acronis, etc.) FortiGate Firewall Sophos Firewall Microsoft SQL Server DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP VLAN Configuration & Network Troubleshooting NAS Storage Management Endpoint Security Solutions Disaster Recovery Planning Personal SkillsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
